Scope of Services:

  • Partial timber pier demolition
  • Timber pile driving, x bracing, timber caps, stringers and decking
  • Crane mounted on jack up barge working in the ocean

 

The Apache Pier was damaged due to Hurricane Mathew October 8, 2016. The majority of the damage was to the end “T Head“ section of the pier. Cape Romain will utilize a jack up barge with a 50 ton crane on deck to perform the work. The remaining T Head section of the pier will be demolished and then built back to original condition and dimension. In addition to replacing the T Head three piling will be replaced and roughly 300 X braces replaced in the main body of the pier.
